When you rise from your slumber on a Sunday morning, you may smile in the firm knowledge that someone who cares has risen ahead of you to pour just the perfect amount of fresh coffee grounds into percolators and filled an urn full of water ready for heating to brew that perfect cup of coffee or tea for your arrival. It will quench your thirst on a hot day and warm you up on the coldest, wettest day. Together with our smiles and hellos we want all who cross our threshold to know that they are truly welcome as we join together to worship our Heavenly Father.

Men’s Prayer Meeting
We are a group of men committed to pray for our families, the church, cities and nation and seek to hear what’s on God’s heart.

Middle School Breakfast Club
Hot freshly made pancakes, sizzling sausages, fluffy scrambled eggs, crunchy hash browns, hot chocolate or juice topped off with generous smiles and ‘how was your weekend?’ This is what greets the students of Abbotsford Middle School on a Monday morning. Come rain or shine a bunch of us from The Bridge get together to show these students practically that God loves them. We’ve been building relationships with the students slowly but surely over the last couple of years and it’s very rewarding. The teachers at the school said they noticed a marked improvement in concentration with some of the students as a result of the breakfast that they receive from us.

Plunge Prayer Ministry Team
We are a growing community of people who have a mandate to release the healing presence of God into the hearts, minds and bodies of people. We seek to be a people who are living out the interpersonal honesty that is essential to healing and true growth. We seek to allow the love of God to lead us through our own healing journey and expect God to release His life and miracles through us.

Prison Ministry
“I have a very simple vision for music ministry at Mission Institution: as often as possible let us from the Bridge bring singers and praise to lift up the fallen, proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of prison doors to those that are bound. It also provides a chance to preach if we wish in Sunday evening chapels, and this would be a great training ground for budding preachers at the Bridge.
Others who wish, could volunteer at Mission to attend the chapel services and simply meet, visit and pray with the fellows. They could attend and help lead my Wednesday night Bible study, as well as volunteer in other capacities such as mentoring or teaching crafts or other skills during day or night time slots.”

Set up and Take Down Ministry Team
We are a team who love God and take joy in serving Jesus and the church by setting up chairs and other things on Sunday morning. We have an early crew for setup at 8am and another crew for takedown at 12:30pm. The early crew enjoys breakfast and connecting after we setup . This is a ministry that is not for the “faint of heart” and it is a great place to “plug in” and get to know people at the Bridge.

Sunday Servants Breakfast Ministry
At the Bridge we really value the community of people who serve in setting up for a Sunday morning. Many of them show up 2 hours ahead of time and stay after everyone else leaves. Our ministry is to serve a delicious breakfast to bless them for serving and to sustain them through a long morning. Ushers/Greeters
There is a group of men and women who serve at the Bridge on Sunday in simple ways by helping with the morning setup and afternoon take-down of the information and hospitality tables. You will also find us at the doorway to greet you as you enter, and help you (if you need it) with finding seating. You’ll see us collecting tithes and offerings after which we pray over them, commit them to God and ask for God’s continued blessing on our lives as a congregation. We like to help in practical ways and to pray for and bless you as you come.

Women’s Intercessory Prayer
We are a community of women who believe that God speaks, moves our hearts, and when we speak back to God, His heart is moved. We seek to partner with God’s heart through prayer to see Him change things in the church, cities, homes and families.

Women’s Ministry
We are designed to live in relationship and share in the lives of other women and have something of value to offer each other. We risk being vulnerable with others and offer our true selves because we are safe and secure in our relationship with Jesus. Our heart is to walk in friendship and our ears and hearts are continually inclined to the Lord asking for His direction and purposes to be walked out as women of the Bridge. So if you’d like to connect with other women, please check out the following options.
There are also several young Mom’s groups meeting in homes, prayer/intercession groups, a women’s group that meets every few months at the BARN and many areas to serve.
