Create Emerge  - YWAM Australia

Create Emerge is a team that exists to connect people with information and understanding about what’s happening in mission. We track stories of people who are being the hands and feet of Jesus in some tough places, and we share the good news of what God is doing in areas that sometimes we only hear bad news about.  We usually go out to different unreached nations to collect stories a couple of times a year, then we spend too many hours to count editing the footage and making videos, and then we go on tour to churches, home groups, youth groups, high schools and Bible schools to share presentations.  Our intention is to use the stories and information God has given us to call into mission those whom God is calling. ’Create Emerge is a team within Create International, a transnational ministry of Youth with a Mission.

Bitsy Warkentin – Thailand, OMF

I am currently serving in Thailand with OMF. At the moment I am learning Thai and just continuing to adjust to the Thai culture and build relationships with the Thai people. When I am finished language study in Lopburi I will most likely be going to Bangkok to work with an OMF team in the slums discipling cell groups and possibly working with children. I am trusting the Lord for His clear guidance. 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 Thank you for your prayers.

Saskia – YWAM South Africa

In December 2007, things got a little bleak for me.  I reached that crazy point of crisis where it was like, ”What’s the point of everything? Why do I feel like I should be so much more…”And that’s where some amazing things happen. If you want the full story, you could probably ask me.  And if you don’t that’s cool because I am not looking back, but looking forward.  That’s when I started on a journey that has taken me to eleven different countries in two years. I did my DTS in the rocky mountains of Colorado, with an amazing outreach in Jerusalem, Israel. In September 2008 I joined YWAM Media Village in Cape Town, South Africa and that is where I found my passion. I began working with Human Trafficking out of Media Village, and just this last January we partnered with the Not For Sale Campaign and launched in South Africa.  The Not For Sale Campaign is a movement of people from all different backgrounds and skill levels working together to create lasting change around the issue of modern day slavery. With 27 million people enslaved today in cities all around the world, human trafficking has become the issue of today’s generation.
