The disciples are arguing about who is the most important. Jesus gives them another way to look at how the world works.
TO PRAY
Thank you Jesus that you always make us think about things and that the way that things are is not necessarily how you intend them to be. Show us how your kingdom comes in the world around us. Amen.
AN IDEA TO THINK ABOUT
Jesus said: ‘The greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the leader should be like the servant.’
How do you think that could be worked out in your family/community/church/creation?
OCTOBER 30 - TAKE A HIKE
Kylee & Alisa are leading an all age hike, meeting in Harvest Drive, Abbotsford at 3pm, you’ll be heading into the forest there and exploring together. It’s good for all ages and they’ll make it fun for whoever shows up to hike.
After the hike is done there will be an opportunity to decorate cookies and warm up with some hot chocolate at Sarah’s house (just at the trailhead in Harvest Drive)
Please let Sarah know by Friday 28th if you are coming :)
There will be no KIDS @ HOME this Sunday week as the hike is in the afternoon instead. if you are too far away to join us here’s an idea.
IF YOU CAN’T JOIN US FOR A HIKE.
Take a hike where you live.
Ask Jesus to show you something small that has an important role to play in the ecosystem where you are.
Express your gratitude for it.
And if you want the full experience - make some sugar cookies in the shape of pumpkins and decorate them.
