NO KIDS GROUP THIS WEEK
But here are some things about the story that is given for this Sunday from the Lectionary that we follow. You can watch me tell it, read it yourself, make a treat to give away, have a go at remembering the next part of Psalm 100 and even have a dance party.
SOMETHING TO REMEMBER (FEBRUARY)
We’re remembering a whole Psalm between now and June. This is the next verse of Psalm 100.
Psalm 100
Worship the Lord and be happy!
Come near to God with songs of joy.
You could draw a picture of a smiling face.
Can you make up a joyful tune to go with the words of this part of the Psalm?

Jesus raises a man from the dead - Luke 7:11-17
Jesus is in a different town and as they come to the town there is a funeral procession happening. Watch what Jesus does for the woman who is about to bury her only son.

SOMETHING TO GET YOU TALKING
Jesus showed us that God cares for people like the woman in the story who was sad. Who can you show care to? How can you do it?
SOMETHING TO MAKE
Could you make some cookies or a treat to take to someone that needs some care? (Buying a treat is good too but making might be more fun!)
A PRAYER
I like to pray with colours. I draw a shape for the person that I am taking to Jesus and I write their name inside the shape. Then I use colours to ask God to help them. For example, if I am praying for God to give them joy I will colour it orange, or for healing I will colour it red, for peace I will colour it blue.
Can you think of someone to take to Jesus in prayer and choose a colour to use as you tell Jesus about that person.
